Friends of Wednesday's Child

Simple childhood needs. Like glasses. A birthday gift. Tutoring. A trip to summer camp. Too often, no one provides these most basic needs to young victims of neglect and abuse. Until Friends of Wednesday's Child steps in to give them hope.
Foster Care and Adoption Resources
Adopt America Network
Adopt America Network is committed to improving the lives of adoptable children throughout the United States who are in the foster care system by placing them with permanent, loving families.
Adoption Tax Credit or Exclusion
Adoptive parents may be able to take an adoption expense tax credit and/or an adoption assistance exclusion. Both a credit and exclusion may be claimed for the same adoption.
Fostering Families Today
Fostering Families Today is a magazine about parents, children and dedicated professionals in the child welfare system providing foster care and domestic adoption to children.
Lutheran Social Services of the South
This agency holds a contract with the State of Texas to provide on-going support to all people who adopt children from the Texas foster care system. Services include: Respite care, case manager assistance (help finding providers and resources for your children, etc.), retreats and training, family counseling, childcare reimbursements and much, much more.
National Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)
National CASA aims to provide a volunteer advocate for every child in foster care.
National Foster Parent Association
This national association provides services and training for foster parents and is a strong political voice for the cause.

Texas Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)
